Dr Hamza Tayob is a healthcare practitioner specialising as an Ophthalmologist. With his passion and love for eye care, he is able to provide excellent care to patients.

Dr Tayob completed his medical degree in 2009. He served his internship at Steve Biko Academic Hospital. Thereafter, Dr Tayob completed his community service year at Heidelberg Hospital.

His areas of professional interest include cataract surgery, glaucoma management, retinal diseases, neuro-ophthalmology, diabetic eye disease, pterygium and corneal cross-linking for keratoconus. He is committed to keeping up to date with advances in ophthalmology through ongoing training, workshops and professional development.

During his ophthalmology training, Dr Tayob initiated the Vision 4 Life programme, providing eye care and eye surgery to patients in need. His approach combines specialist expertise with compassionate, patient-centred care, with the goal of protecting vision and helping patients maintain their quality of life.
